Twenty-five
years ago, while coaching young and young-at-heart actors, Diane Purdy
noticed how difficult it was to find medium and large cast scripts with
elaborate, non-singing roles for every actor in the play. Diane began
writing the type of plays needed for her 'drama by doing' program. The
productions were well-received and became nationally recognized. Now, for
the first time, the scripts that have trained over two generations of professional
actors are available for all to purchase.
Award-winning
playwright, Diane Purdy, understands it's the story that brings the energy
that all memorable play scripts need. Ms. Purdy works to create complex and
character-driven plots in her one act plays and children's plays. As a
recognized actor, Ms. Purdy knows that telling a story is the way to give
actors the opportunity to hone their craft, while also achieving their
reasons for performing...keeping the audience interested, involved and
entranced.
